Drinking hot liquids when driving is potentially dangerous, even more so if the cup fails. A recent investigation into such a cup failure was undertaken for one of our solicitor clients.

Through our ‘expert programme’, we assisted in understanding the reasons for failure utilising FMEA techniques and materials expertise. Understanding the materials, the structure, manufacturing technology and understanding the use mode, combined with a wealth of knowledge in packaging, the investigation was concluded with a full determination of the mode of failure.
