Our client, in a period of rapid sales growth, engaged iDi Pac to support growth in output/line efficiencies. We analysed current line set up, equipment operation, team organisation and started recording. Targets were set, layout changes made and team members trained on new ways of working roles. Phase one saw a significant increase in output. In phase two more detailed recording of data on stoppages and use of root cause analysis helped the team to analyse and generate solutions to prevent stoppages and further improve output. The third and final phase, was to bring opposite shifts and the shift management team together, sharing Best Practice, talking about improvements and giving them the framework to analyse performance and continue to improve outputs after we had left.
